Website Builder Tutorials – How to add a calendar

Another great tool to add to your WebEden website is a calendar. Its a neat Web 2.0 feature that lets your users interact with your website. This ‘humanises’ the relationship between you and your website visitors, and means that they will spend more time on your website, and are more likely to return too. Watch the tutorial and then try using the website creator to add a calendar to your site.

The calendar control could be improved to allow multiple entries to be made so that you could set up events every sunday, for example. However, it is still a useful feature.

    Hi James,

You can put a Google calendar on your website using the HTML snippet and inserting a Google Gadget Calendar.

Have a look at this video tutorial:

    Hi

I have browsed various other free calendars on the web and think the one provided here is the best. However, 2 features of this are irritating.

    1. You cannot change the highlighted colour from yellow which indicates an event on a certain date. This can clash with a different colour scheme in the web-site. Any chance of making this colour changeable?

    2. When info about the event is inputted, some unnecessary text appears e.g. dd/mm/yy. If there was a facility to remove this superfluous language, this product would be perfect. Any chance of amending the calendar to allow this flexibility?

    Thanks

    Geraldine
