Website Builder Tutorials: How to add ‘email to a friend’ application

One of the main source of visitors for any website is ‘recommendations’. You are far more likely to visit a site that has been recommended to you, than one you see some advertising for. The ‘email to a friend’ application in WebEden makes it really easy for your website visitors to recommend your website to others. It allows them to email a link to your site to anyone they choose. When you’re building a website try to take advantage of this free marketing opportunity.

    Hi Alison,

    Yeah, its a bit of a pain the over-sized-ness of it. To lay my cards on table, I’m not exactly sure why it needs to be so big, because I don’t fully understand the explanation the developers are giving me.

    Once again, its on the project list to sort out. You believe me don’t you?

    Hi,

    I notice there is email a freind tab. Is it possible to have a email us tab? I was thinking the type of thing where you can click and it would open outlook with our email address inserted,

    Hi Jayne,

    You can set this up yourself.

    All you need to do is create a link to the email address you want the mails going to, and add ‘mailto:’ at the front of it.

    Lets say you wanted the words ‘email us’ to automatically open outlook with rour email address inserted. Just link those words to:

    mailto:your@emailaddress.co.uk

    Obviously replace your@emailaddress.co.uk with your actual email address!
