Obtrusive Webeden Branding/Logo

I recently built my website and was very pleased with the clean uncluttered look to each page. When it first went on line, Webeden inserted a small logo top left and a strap at the bottom of the page advertising their services. This was fair enough as I was getting virtually a free website. However, recently they have shifted my whole website to the left and inserted a very obtrusive block of bright green advertising on the right hand side. Is this because I am not paying an annual fee for my website? Is there any way to remove this? Webeden will not allow me to ask this as I am on their free package. I cannot see this huge block of advertising on other friends webeden websites - I can only assume it is because they pay for a package. Any answers gratefully recieved

Membership Tools

I have been using Webeden for six years. I run a dating site and really need the Membership Tools. I`m currently using the £72 a year package without the Membership Tools. I think it is unfair to have to pay £115 a year just to use Membership Tools which have been free with every package before. I asked Webeden kindly if they will add Membership Tools to at least there Standard Package so I can make my site functional. I will keep my fingers crossed!!

When can we expect an answer to forum posts ?

Please Fix The Shop!

Hi.

I have posted a couple of times regarding the shop, its a brilliant feature, but, there still seems to be some issues and it isn't as flexible as it could be, the Images on Product details resize themselves after I have set the size on an image.

You can link from a sub page to the categories, but, you cannot link to individual products within your Shop Catalog, say I already have sub pages with product listings and/or product details of my own, saying that it would be fare easier for someone who currently has a website selling products to update a site without completely redesigning their website, we should also be able to add the new Add To Cart button to existing pages, then linking to Shop Catalog and Shop Confirmation as it usually does, baring in mind the Shop has to contain those products!

On the Product Details, there is a link Back To Product List, this returns users back to the Shop Catalog data, which will contain all the products you've added to your shop, I don't want users to access that page, the link cannot be updated to return a user back to a shop category or anywhere else on your website.

I am at the point were my website has been designed and I need to add the products to my website, but, I want to take advantage of the shop without completely redesigning my website again, as an existing website designer would want to do.

Please make this feature more user friendly for existing users who are selling products.

pop-up image gallery

I have been getting feedback from customers regarding the pop up image viewr. They are complaining that there is no 'next' and 'previous' button when viewing individual images. They consider it a pain to close each image to open a different one. Can this be changed?

I embed my videos on my site alot which is why I chose webeden, because it was so simple to do. Now when I go to embed my videos all I get is a widget so my members can watch the said clip in a standalone player (either to view or download) - Whilst I would want this as an option I still want to be able to put the video on my page and play it there is I want to. How do I do this now? Has this functionality been removed? If so why? And if so, why haven't we as members been notified? I just upgraded to the top membership, and had I known this functionality was being removed I would not have bothered! HELP PLEASE

WebEden Web sites very slow

Since Tuesday 1st Feb 2011 my (and other WebEden) sites have been very slow to respond at various times of the day.

Example sites:

Vitalcomponents.co.uk
Other sites I have selected at random from the gallery.

I own an IT company so I am fortunate enough to be able test sites from a range of platforms, operating systems and isp.

I am currently testing via a 50MB Virgin Cable connection and typical refresh rates are 5 seconds per page, but up to 20 seconds to bring up login pages and a further 20 to 30 seconds to login.

Responses whilst editing appear to be fine (a little sluggish at worst).

This problem only appears to have started since Tuesday.

I would be grateful if you could investigate this for me.

Incorrect links in HTML site

My website, http://www.FlushingHolidayCottages.co.uk, has a number of links that transfer potential clients to another website who have software that allows people to book our holiday cottages online.

Over time I have updated these links on my normal WebEden admin site, but it seems that these links have not updated in the non-Flash HTML version of the site.

The result is that people using my site on iPads, iPhones etc get an error message to the effect that we no longer accept online bookings when they click on the links.

I have submitted several support tickets - they keep saying the links update automatically in the HTML site and cannot differ from the links in the Flash site, but the fact is that they are different!

Here is an example:

If you go to the home page on the flash version and click on the blue 'BOOK ONLINE NOW' banner you are directed to this url:

This is the correct URL, which links to our online booking partner.

If you go to the home page on HTML version of the site and click on 'BOOK ONLINE NOW' you are directed to this url:

As you can see, they are quite different. The second one, which the HTML site directs users to, relates to a very old version of the booking system that we used to use and the user is advised that we no longer accept online bookings!

Support keep saying 'it may be a big that is resolved when we launch the new HTML site' - but this is costing me business and if it is not resolved when the new HTML site launches I am no further forward.

Someone please help me!!!

Its always the same in my house, all I want is just a little me time on Killzone, but no, CBBC is always on, I mean why do I work 50 hours a week running a company to come home and watch CBB flipin C!
I think the logo in the corner of the screen is starting to burn it my Bravia.
And that another thing, I didnt sepnd £3000 on a media centre for them!

Worldpay grrrrrr

I don't like using Worldpay. I don't know why it bothers me so much - perhaps because I have ended up having about 10 accounts with them and I get rapidly confused when the invoices tip up in my inbox . I wish that I could just pay for my accounts with paypal which is much more user friendly - possibly because I use pp for lots of buying and selling, I am less intimidated by its user-interface?

Any chance of getting a paypal option?

Many problems

Today I tried out the new toolbar - as soon as I switched to it many things went wrong!
The right hand side of all my pages are now missing (as if the site isn't wide enough, and there is no scroll bar to access the bottom part of my pages.
Even when trying to send a querry through the help window I got many errors - the drop down menus appear either off the top of the screen or sometimes even behind the window!!!
Now when I switch back to the old toolbar everything is still all wrong. My site is too narrow and it will not allow me to change the size - I select a new size, click on OK but nothing happens!
I'm getting a bit fed up now.

So many bits I dont need!

Hello, Just found the January newsletter on my special email account. Loads of new gizmo's to add to my web site....BUT ...why not use your efforts to increase the number of full time VISABLE pages I can have on my 'Lite' package and a longer page length??

Website runs very slow in edit and normal view mode, have to keep refreshing the screen to see anything on the site and then im waiting forever for it to do anything.

There is nothing wrong with my pc or my internet connection as ive had them checked out.

The Chat room wont connect to server yet again

sick of waiting for answers from Webeden about this and sometimes no one even has the decency to get back to me.

Will someone please sort this out as it is now giving me a right headache
