I have recently made my site visible on Google search engine. It took me a while to have it visible, but now it is up and running.

My main problem now is that, although I have followed all the steps in the SEO guide, my website's position on Google keeps changing all the time. For example, one day it appears on the first page, the next day appears on the third page, and so on.

I would like to know if there is something to do about it to make the website's position more stabile on the search engine.

Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

Plus points for having your domain name with Webeden http://www.webeden.co.uk/forum/discussion/896/plus-points-for-having-your-domain-name-with-webeden Mon, 15 Aug 2011 10:58:25 -0400 Alison Cross 896@/forum/discussions 2 - It's very easy to make your webeden domain name point to your website.
3 - You can make e-mail addresses, based on your domain name at NO EXTRA COST! For example - godaddy will cost you about £10 per annum for a single e-mail address.
4 - It's easy to transfer your domain name from another location into the tender care of webeden....

Pointing your Godaddy domain > your webeden site http://www.webeden.co.uk/forum/discussion/892/pointing-your-godaddy-domain-your-webeden-site Mon, 15 Aug 2011 06:07:16 -0400 Alison Cross 892@/forum/discussions
Log in to your godaddy account. locate your domain name in your account and double click to open up the domain's settings page. Find DS manager and click on 'launch'

This opens your DNS settings

In the first field, the A record, there is an ampersand - replace this with 146.101.249.107

In the field marked www (where there is also an ampersand) remove the ampersand and type CDN.sitemakerlive.com

Scroll to bottom of page and SAVE your settings.

Exit your godaddy account and enter your webeden account

Go to Administration > Site address > add your domain name > select it as the preferred address > save

That should do the trick ;-)
creating a new website http://www.webeden.co.uk/forum/discussion/448/creating-a-new-website Mon, 08 Nov 2010 12:48:20 -0500 chrisattherock 448@/forum/discussions thanks Mobile site http://www.webeden.co.uk/forum/discussion/539/mobile-site Wed, 12 Jan 2011 19:37:35 -0500 gorby1978 539@/forum/discussions
Go to widget box and create a mobile site, it's very straight forward. add text, pictures, videos from youtube, polls, maps, share on faebook , twitter ect.

Once your done you'll get a url for your mobile site

On your sitemaker website put a text link saying something like 'Visit mobile Site'. Link this to the mobile URL. Make sure the 'Visit mobile Site' links is at the top of the object list if its not 'send to back'!! The text will then appear at the top of your site on a mobile.

Oh and don't put it on the page master, it won't work.

Hope that makes some sort of sence

I've done it for my site, have a look www.escapelodges.com

Worried about being absent from half the world's time line because you are snuggled up in bed with a fluffy wabbit while the US are tweeting their little heads off? Fear not! Use the mighty power of social oomph to drop a few well timed tweets into your timeline so that your followers can see what you're up to.

Rotate welcome DM messages to new followers - which is a nice touch. Remember, in your welcome DM don't give them the hard sell to your website, just be nice 'n' friendly.

Vet your new followers

You can have more than one twitter account linked to it and just toggle between the accounts when you need to make an instruction to that account.

Plus loads more.......

BTW - this tool used to be called Tweetlater, but it changed - bizarrely - to Social Oomph - probably because they want to be appealing to more than just the twitter platform.

Give it a try - really useful for managing your accounts

Add a search box to your WebEden site! http://www.webeden.co.uk/forum/discussion/51/add-a-search-box-to-your-webeden-site Thu, 18 Feb 2010 22:51:27 -0500 raybobagins 51@/forum/discussions
And the answer is yes: you can use the Google search bar that is located in the library of your website builder.

Unfortunately there’s a shortcoming: this does search your website, but will only search those pages that have been indexed by Google.

If they haven’t been found and indexed by Google (for example if they are very recent, or are not well linked), then the Google search bar will not yield any results. As our SEO guide will tell you, Google can take up to 3 months to find and crawl your site so it can be a long wait before your website is fully searchable.

We’ve been scratching our heads to find a way around this problem, and we’ve just come up with a solution.

Atomz Site Search. Atomz have created a FREE Premier site search tool that crawls your site the moment you sign up. It grabs the Page Title – Description from your pages and displays them just like Google does.

To put this search facility on your website, you need to sign up on Atomz.com. You get to pick which type of search box you require from standard to advanced dependant on how detailed you would like the user to be able search. Also you can change the colours of the links so they match the colour of your website.

Once you have setup everything with Atomz, grab the HTML code they give you, and paste the code into the WebEden HTML Snippet. In case you didn’t know, the HTML Snippet is located in the Library of your File Manager.

Once you have pasted the code in you will need to make just one change to the code in order for the results to appear properly.

In the line of code that has you will need to add target="_parent" so it looks like this .

If you do not do this change then the search will open occur within the snippet rather than the whole website.

That’s it.
Have a go adding the Atomz search box and let us know how you get on. Or if you know a better solution then please let me know.
Twitter Tool | Twitcleaner http://www.webeden.co.uk/forum/discussion/31/twitter-tool-twitcleaner Fri, 05 Feb 2010 14:16:43 -0500 Alison Cross 31@/forum/discussions http://thetwitcleaner.com)

For me, being on Twitter isn't about having thousands of followers, but in having good quality followers and following high quality twitterers in return. It's really time-consuming to keep track of who is tweeting what content and twitcleaner provides you with an almost instantaneous report that shows you:

> Who is posting nothing but links
> People who haven't posted for AGES
> Accounts that ignore you
...... > folks with fewer than 10 tweets
...... > folks that don't interact with anyone
...... > folks that hardly follow anyone

Twitcleaner allows you to unfollow any of these groups of people. You can also select individuals to unfollow. By clicking on the individual icons in your Report you can 'save' those followers and they won't form part of your 'unfollow' clean up.

This will save you hours of trawling through your followers.
