Chat Room Widget - History

I have a chat room page on my site, the chat room widget from Webedan was used, the problem I have is that when users look at another page on the site then come back to the chat room the history of chat isn't saved/visible - is it possible to have this so the history is retained??

Seems there is not much happening out there with Google Plus on webeden... Is it possible to have Google plus included in default widgets as there is with Facebook and Twitter. And is it possible to have follow as well as share options for social networking?

Social Widgets in shop issues

Hey guys,

ever since having a webeden shop ive never been able to get the social widgets to position themselves correctly. If you view my shop section at http://www.kookeeboutique.co.uk you can see the widgets completely plonk themselves into text.

Any help would be great as when i edit my item descriptions it resets itself when i save the new position. However, the position it is in anyway is different to when i view my site. Is this just me or everyone?

New image Gallery is useless!

the new image gallery is completely useless!
I have been copying the old one over, but started a new page and had to make a new image gallery.

it's all changed!
yes, yes, it's lovely you can have no spacing and the blank boxes are invisible, but i want to resize the bogging boxes!

I need to be able to change the size of the boxes to fit the gap that I've created for them.
Considering the pages can only be 2800 high, I need to fit as much on the page as i can.
sometimes I need the pictures to be an inch high, sometimes, half an inch high, sometimes bigger -the whole point of having pop-up image gallery was that you could have a smaller thumbnail and click on the picture to make it bigger.
I tried to change the size in the "info" panel, and it just refused to change it!

This new image gallery is just not suitable for my needs.
when you change things, you're supposed to make them better, not take away one of the main functions that made the bogging implement useful in the first place!!

now what the heck do i do?

I would like to say to the webeden team that having the video player function go off like it has recently without any notice a real pain, as I have +30 sites all with the same video content 5 on each site, so spent a fab day dealing with complaints from customers and trying to embed new ones from you tube using the html snippet....not impressed.

Anyone got a Fireworks Widget ?

Adding Facebook to my site

I am new to Facebook and have just opened the Little Artisan Jewellery page for the sole purpose of letting more people see my products.
The "shop" option (is this new from when I started to build my website?) seems a good way of doing it, but when I try to add products and follow the Facebook set up instructions, it won't let me sign in to Facebook - nothing happens at all. I have printed off Shop Builder Help but this is not helping me at all - I am trying to follow the "How do I add a Facebook Shop Page" - I can continue blindly adding products but thought it may be best to ask first as I can't seem to do it right - help! Does anybody else out there have a website where they sell products and have managed to link it to their Facebook? Help.....

Hello everyone
I have recently set up a site www.andyloveday.com and the tweet widget on the home page is not working consistently. On my PC running Firefox 15.01, text appears showing 'tweets by asloveday) not pretty but does work. On another PC I use running IE 9, there is no visible tweet widget at all. On my husbands PC, running Firefox 14.01 the Tweets link with Twitter logo looks perfect. Does any one have any ideas on how I can get the widget to appear in IE?

Blog Sharing Widget

Does anyone know of the code to use for sharing the blog posts. The widget with Facebook that comes with the blog does't work properly. The Facebook 'Likes' show the actual page likes rather than the posts. Would really like some help as have looked on the net and not sure how to go about it. How does the share widget code on the Webeden site blog work?

I have built a site and have uploaded some resources in the ''My files'' section of the Webeden developer side. As I do not want to share a site admin login to access the files for security reasons, is there a way to allow a normal user direct access to the Folders in the ''My files'' section ?

cannot connect to facebook

Adding postage costs

I have asked this question on the forum before but unfortunately the only answer I got didn't help me really so I thought I'd try again.

Unfortunately I am a complete idiot when it comes to computers and websites and am quite amazed that I managed to build something relatively half decent to be honest!

Each of the items I am selling on my website have an "add to cart" button underneath them. I have then added the necessary link to paypal from each button. However, I also need to get the customer to pay for postage. I have added a separate page called "cart contents" with delivery prices on it, but the customer doesn't necessarily have to visit that page if they don't want to, so four times this week I've had people buying one of my items and paying via paypal but with no postage costs attached and I have had to go back to them and ask for more money which is very embarrassing.

There has to be a way for the postage prices to come up and give the client the option of one or the other once they have pressed "add to cart" and before they checkout.

Can anybody help me in as plain english as possible?

Using Firefox as my browser designed our site and all appears OK. In particular login appears for members area and works OK. Accessing the site with IE9, there is no login 'window', even tried simple buttons but no login appears.

Hello.....we are trialling this new software for our Association to see if its exactly what we are looking for.
I am using the Lite version with the view to upgrading to one of the larger packages if things are favourable.
The software scores highly form the membership side of things
and although we want shopping facilities (not applicable on Lite) I find on the last page where you pay for your items...the widget is too large for my page....I dont want to start re-designing the whole thing.

Is there any way to make the widget smaller to fit my page?????

I need more than 5 email addresses

I have the capacity to open 10 websites with 5 emails allocated to each. I only presently have two websites, but need more than 5 emails on one of them - we are an expanding business and have employed another person to bring us over the 5 email mark. We have plans to employ others in the near furture - is there a way I can access the 40 other email accounts I have open to me?

I have got an events calender on my website www.thewillowsoapcompany.com but i cant add any events for june or july because the drop down list only goes from January to May and then when you scroll down it goes from August to December.

Interactive Map

I am wanting to include a map of southern england in my application and then to place several links on the map which link through to other pages in the site. I got an image of southern england and then placed links onto it - however, the links do not seem to work. Can I not put multiple links on an image? Please advise. Shiny Carousel thing

You must be quite sick of me going on about this, but I've had another client ask me to create a fancy carousel type thing for their front page. This time they want a nice scrolling carousel of Tarot card images that enlarge when you mouse across them. Leaving aside the issues of copyright (which I'm on top of btw!) I have not a SCOOBY how we can make this happen using the sitemaker software.

Can anyone help me with this? I know that I probably could use some HTML snippet thing, but I would need a lot of hand-holding through it. But if we can pull it off it would be, to speak like my son, TOTALLY AWESOME.

Adding own gifs

I desperately need to add a gif I created to my website by tonight. I've uploaded the gif file to "my files" - the "help" section says there should be four folders there for audio, images etc, but there aren't - and I've tried inserting the HTML widget with the code. When I click "apply" and then either change the size or not, it just keeps going back to set-up and change size. if I save and click view page, there's just an empty box. Why can't I upload my gifs please?

Paypal Buttons Not Working

The paypal add to cart and view cart buttons are not working on my site www.crunchjewellery.co.uk

Instead of taking the customer to paypal it goes to a page that says:

This content cannot be displayed in a frame

To help protect the security of information you enter into this website, the publisher of this content does not allow it to be displayed in a frame.

This appears to be a new fault as I'm sure it worked ok before.

I have used webeden default buttons and the input is all correct.

The odd thing is that if I "view my site" the buttons work just fine, but if a new user tries to use them the error applies.

Using IE explorer.

Search function on my site

Hi, I want to add a search function to my site and I was advised to use Google Custom search, however I want it to be completely integrated into my site so it looks like part of my site not being redirected to Google search pages. Plus they want $100 per annum to be ad free.

I have tried the Google Custom Search function and the HTML code I got creates a large box which looks ridiculous on my site. Has anyone been able to do something a bit more subtle and integrated with their website searches?

I would be grateful for some help on this. I am happy to pay for the work, and I desperately need this as part of my site along with tagging products to searches and members profile choices so recommendations can be made.

Webeden have said this can't be done, but has anyone managed it, or been able to get someone else to create it and then place it into the site?

I don't want to have to get someone to create a site again from scratch as I have put a lot of hard work into it.

I think I am being extremely thick! I have added the new BLOG page to my site, I have posted a test blog, which in the dashboard says it is posted, but it does not appear on the blog page? Where has it gone? Why doesnt it appear? What do I have to do or alter to get the posts to show on the blog page?

PayPal widget conundrum

This a really, really strange one.

I have set up a PayPal widget on my site www.ukcvwriting.co.uk and the widget works seamlessly on the build computer and takes me straight through to the correct PayPal sign-in page. I also checked the functioning on my office laptop (not used in the build) and this also works just fine. So far so good .

I notified my client that the site was now operational only to receive an email saying that, on his computer, the PayPal button went straight to a PayPal error page. I have now tried (and asked friends to try) on an number of computers around London and, sure enough, they also throw up the same error page.

Yet when I try logging in on the build computer (I am using IE9 but have tried using Firefox and Chrome) all works perfectly with no errors whatsoever. In frustration I deleted the inbuilt Webeden PayPal widget and just used the 'insert HTML' option which worked (of course) perfectly on my computer but nowhere else.

So I am really, really scratching my head on this one. HELP!!!

Directory file download links

I'm not sure if a directory is a widget or not, but hope you can help!
The file download links within the directory are not working. They were all fine until some time last week, but the links to my files have now all disappeared. I have tried reinstating them, but they disappear as soon as I leave the edit function.

How do i send products to THE CART

Hi, im new to all this and don't have much experience with website building.
Could anyone please tell me how i get a chosen product into the checkout cart?
At the moment if its clicked on, the checkout cart page comes up (the cart is just a normal table with titles) but the details of the chosen item do not get logged into the cart.

or am i doing it all wrong? ive just heard about a free paypal shopping basket. where is this? im a free user so would i have to upgrade?

I have more questions but lets begin from here. Thank you so much.
