I have posted a couple of times regarding the shop, its a brilliant feature, but, there still seems to be some issues and it isn't as flexible as it could be, the Images on Product details resize themselves after I have set the size on an image.
You can link from a sub page to the categories, but, you cannot link to individual products within your Shop Catalog, say I already have sub pages with product listings and/or product details of my own, saying that it would be fare easier for someone who currently has a website selling products to update a site without completely redesigning their website, we should also be able to add the new Add To Cart button to existing pages, then linking to Shop Catalog and Shop Confirmation as it usually does, baring in mind the Shop has to contain those products!
On the Product Details, there is a link Back To Product List, this returns users back to the Shop Catalog data, which will contain all the products you've added to your shop, I don't want users to access that page, the link cannot be updated to return a user back to a shop category or anywhere else on your website.
I am at the point were my website has been designed and I need to add the products to my website, but, I want to take advantage of the shop without completely redesigning my website again, as an existing website designer would want to do.
Please make this feature more user friendly for existing users who are selling products.
Thank you Ray and thanks for your acknowledgement on this post, I have just read your post regarding the e Commerce post, I didn't realise there was a limit on products you can add the to shop catalog based on packages, I would quiet happily upgrade, but, I also want to be able to have the flexibility to integrate the shop with my existing product listings and product details.
Product listings text body, links to Shop product details, and continues to functions as the shop currently does.
Say, I have a Max account and I have 500 products that have been added to the shop catalog, on the product details a customer clicks back to product listings, 9 times out of 10, people will or want to return to the category of interest and not the entire listings, whether its sectioned into pages or not, if I had 25 products, then its not really a major issue, by scrolling through the product listings that contain up to 500 products, Says it someone new to the inter-web or isn’t completely familiarised with browsing, I could lose customers through boredom, looking through my 500 products for something in particular, I want to keep people interested, return to catgory or the previous page, functioning as a back button, I know you can add the category links, but, I can't really understand why it returns users back to the product listings.
Product listings text body, link to my product details, the Shop Add To Cart button (link to a shop product I've already added to the catalog) and continues to functions as the shop currently does.
I would appreciate you passing this to the developers, in all honesty, the shop is a brilliant feature, but, I just wish it was a little more user friendly to existing sellers and we could utilise some of the features.
