I recently built my website and was very pleased with the clean uncluttered look to each page. When it first went on line, Webeden inserted a small logo top left and a strap at the bottom of the page advertising their services. This was fair enough as I was getting virtually a free website. However, recently they have shifted my whole website to the left and inserted a very obtrusive block of bright green advertising on the right hand side. Is this because I am not paying an annual fee for my website? Is there any way to remove this? Webeden will not allow me to ask this as I am on their free package. I cannot see this huge block of advertising on other friends webeden websites - I can only assume it is because they pay for a package. Any answers gratefully recieved www.shelleyrhodes.co.uk
Thats what it says on packages. The free "package" is actually a trial, as such, shouldn't really be used for a website in its nature - you shouldn't be using it to generate income, etc, unless your paying, at least. If you don't want to have the advertising, pack up the site or pay - or so it seems to me. I'm not sure whether its change, but it looks like to me that webedens just changed it to advertise more - rightly so in some ways - you do have it free with your own domain - about other people not having this - most people on the forum (if not all) are paying, so bare in mind the difference. Please note I'm not a webeden staff and this is just what I think is the occasion at hand.
