Is it worth buying the .com and .co.uk and .net ...etc to stop other companies having similar website addresses to your own website. Simply so that customers do not get confused between the websites especially if your website has a name that is quite popular and could be used by other companies in the future? Thank you
In most cases yes. Be sure to mind though, that those registration fee's can stack up for a new starter. Mostly just the .co.uk & .com is fine, .net can be used but not usually for monetizing, .org.uk, well thats your choice, personally I steer well clear (Who knows of .org.uk or .us commonly?), as probably competitors wouldn't buy these since they aren't as good as yours anyway.
