For some time now I have asked for a 2nd box in the 'contact pages' whereby clients (and especially first time clients) can enter their email a 2nd time so that there can be no mistake.
I have been told for some time (again last week) that this is not available to us. YET, for me to register to use the forum I was able to do this. I put mt address in worng to test the system and it worked. I was told that the info was wrong and that I could not proceed. "please check email address".
So, we pay our money and ask for simple steps to help us make more sales but they won't supply us with facilities that are good enought for themselves.
I am sorry but it doe snot sit well with me.
I asked if I could move my sites to where I might find a ISP who has this facility and if they could shed light on how I do this. They chose not to reply to this email.
So, may I ask again. Can we have this simple yet valued device. Some of my 1st time clients don't/can't hear back from me and I think that awful.
I am really sorry you dont feel you are being provided with a good service from us here at Webeden and I do hope that I can change your negativity towards us.
We do everything we can to provide you with a great service, always looking for ways to improve the software and to offer you more.
Now as far as I am aware we do not offer the ability to provide two email sections to ensure people type in their correct email address. However you could simply provide two boxes anyway, they are likely to get one of the right. secondly i would suggest providing a box for them to enter a telephone number as well just in case the emails dont work.
If you really dont want to do the suggested above then you could always use a third party company such as www.aweber.co.uk to create the forms for you and you can input the form onto your site using the HTML snippet.
In regards to transferring your site to a company that would enable you have this function now this would be a little difficult, as Webeden are not able to provide site FTP details for you to give to another company. the only information you would be able to get in rgeards to transfering the site would be the HTML version of your site that does not have any design elements to it, so it would be like you re-creating the whole site. I know this is annoying, however we do try to offer you everything we can to keep all customers happy but there are things that we are still working on.
However I hope this helps somewhat and if not dont hesitate to get back in contact.
